The Batam Hills Golf Resort located to the west of Batam Island was part of the Waterfront City development that includes facilities like Waterfront housing, marina club, campsite and cable skiing. The golf resort has devoted 80 hectares to its 18 hole championship golf course designed by Max Wexler, it is designed to challenge the needs and expectations of both low handicapped golfers as well as high handicapped players. With Bermuda grass being favoured for both fairways & greens there are various different challenges all round the 6145 meter course including sloping fairways, water hazards, strategically placed bunkers and dog legs. The front 9 turns right around the clubhouse and brings you through a genuine jungle environment it provides holes with rolling and tree-lined fairways. The back 9 located in front and to the left of the clubhouse, is open and less hilly offering wide fairways and exciting challenges.
